IRENE MARY & DERRICK TAYLOR

 

Irene Mary Taylor departed her earthly life on 16th October 2015 while in the "Piano Room" of her residence 222 Longmeanygate (Link) in Leyland, Lancashire. Irene had been in hospital a short while before her passing, but she insisted to her daughters that she would be taken back to her home, the home she cherished so much throughout her life and where much of the memories of her figureship remain. At her behest, Irene Mary was taken home and lived out her remaining days as she wished.

Irene Mary Taylor was buried alongside her husband Derrick Taylor on 30th October 2015 at Our Lady & St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Walton-le-Dale, Preston, Lancashire, England. This is close by to her adolescent home at 9 Kittlingborne Brow, Higher Walton where she lived from age 12. Many of Irene Mary's relatives are buried at this same church of Our Lady & St Patrick's including her parents Edith and Richard (see image below), her paternal grandparents William Hardacre (1877-1941) and Mary Elizabeth Lund (1879-1947), as well as her dear baby boy Derrick Stephen Taylor who died just ten hours after his born in December 1954.

Funeral of Irene Mary

The funeral of Irene Mary Taylor place on 30th October 2015, precisely two weeks following her earthly passing. It took place at St Catherine Labouré Catholic Church, Stanifield Lane, Farington, Leyland, PR25 4QG (Link).
